I went once last year and just walked the grounds. I didn't get the whole picture until I went back this year and took a guided tour. The tour guide actually grew up there and had a personal story to go along with his tour. He knew the sisters and loved this place. It is an intriguing and somewhat perplexing story to modern day Americans. This guy made it make sense. It is a beautiful museum and really more of farmland area. There are lots of buildings and great views. If only the raceway in Loudon never ran! PROS: Peaceful CONS:

Great place to take the family on a nice day. There is a lot of walking around the village so you want to go on a day that it is not raining. As a guest you can take a tour of the school house, living area, grain warehouse, barn, and gardens. An experience that will make you appreciative for all the ammenties we have in the 21st century. They have a large parking lot across the street from the village. I would also recommend bring a bag lunch, they have picnic tables set up.
